Getting Started

We’re an experience, not a building or place. People don’t join us, they participate together with us. We are more concerned with helping people to be able to build good relationships than we are about producing a regular weekly meeting. We share our individual beliefs in a collective environment which offers many opportunities for people to affirm everyone’s right to believe what they believe without feeling challenged or manipulated. Instead of trying to get people to adhere to some unchanging set of beliefs prescribed by some hierarchical system we encourage people to experience thier faith and beliefs in a more “natural” environment. We believe that “God” may mean different things to different people and that potential does not confrontional us. We affirm that everyone is a “unique spiritual individual” but believe that we can share spiritual experiences together. We seek to represent a caring community dedicated to helping others rather than a group of people who approach others from a judgemental or false superior position.

So, this might seem like an odd way to introduce you to our “church community” but at the same time there is a very important reason why we start here – we don’t want you to participate with us unless you feel comfortable and supported in doing so. We Mae that statement because YOU are important to us. We want you to be happy and instead of trying to “sell” you on our brand of what “church” should be. So, if you are looking for a traditional experience based upon what virtually every other modern “church” considers to be a “church,” then that is not us.

But we will also help you find whatever you are looking for, even if it is not us. Fair enough?

We are sharing that, up front, because we are so completely different from what most people might believe a “church” should be like. For instance, we have no buildings, no office space, no regularly scheduled meetings, we don’t take up “offerings” to fund our endeavors, and we don’t even suggest a pre-set “belief system” which we are hoping to get participants to agree with.

You may say… “HUH? Then how is this a ‘church?’” Well lets explore what we try to do in our ministry.
